Distressed Driftwood Table

I finally got a post up on the weekend… Barely! ha.

Anyway, I picked this little table up at a community yard sale a while back. It was 1 of 2 nesting tables that were for sale. Unfortunately, the seller was missing the third time.

Then, once I got home I realized that the smaller table was broken.

So now I have this petite little table as a stand-alone piece. You can see the set near the back of this picture:

I am considering participating in a holiday fair for local vendors in 2 weeks, so I needed to finish a few small pieces quickly. Since I didn’t want to have to mix DIY chalk paint or spend a lot of time sanding once I was finished painting, I knew I wanted to call in my General Finishes Milk Paint in Driftwood.

Man, this paint is the good stuff! It goes on so smooth, has great coverage and sticks to pretty much anything. I gave it a light distressing and finished it off with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in flat finish.

This little makeover was super fast and turned out beautifully thanks to the General Finishes Milk Paint. I’ll definitely be using it in the future whenever I want a super clean, polished finish without a lot of hassle!

Here are a couple of quick after shots: (in the house, in terrible lighting because it’s always dark! boooo!)
