Happy New Year! {Christmas Catch-Up}

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a fabulous holiday season! The new year is bringing some new beginnings into my life, but I’ll get into that later. First, I want to wrap up the holiday season by showing you guys some of my Christmas decorations! (Better late than never, right? The holidays were totally crazy for us, so I had to take a little hiatus from the blogosphere.)

(Obviously, Santa didn’t bring me a new camera for Christmas…haha)

Let’s start at the front door:

xmas wreath

I made this wreath using a really cheap plain wreath, gold bow and snowflakes from Wal-Mart and some vintage wooden ornaments from the flea market.

All you need is a hot glue gun! 🙂

And we wrapped our poor, dying boxwood with lights to make it look better. (A gardener once told me it was basically impossible to kill a Boxwood…and then mine died.)

This little stand is in our foyer: (It’s where we hide our leash and doggy bags…. shh!)

One of these little nutcrackers was a family hand-me-down but the other 3 were Dollar Tree goodies.

I got a shoe box full of those HANDMADE quilted Christmas ornaments for like 2 bucks at Goodwill. Love them!

This is our living room/tv area. (Of course, football was on for most of the fall/winter.)

Our little tree and our cutie patootie pup: (We later wrapped some old burlap around the bottom as a tree skirt.)

And, a few other little things we had around:

Now, onto my new beginnings. Adding to the craziness of the holidays, I also accepted a job offer at a very cool software company in downtown Charleston. Over the last few weeks, I transitioned out of my old job and start my new job on Tuesday! It’s going to be a big change, going from non-profit to software and going from about 30 hours a week to a full time schedule. I’m hoping I will be able to pick my projects and blogging back up like I hoped, but if you don’t hear from me, it’s because I’m adjusting to a new schedule.

What’s new with you? I’d love to hear from you in the comments! 🙂

I'd love to know you were here! Leave a comment!
